Ruri gave her Synchro counterpart a slight smile as she placed a hand on her shoulder. The comforting touch was definitely appreciated, feeling a bit better upon realizing she wasn’t alone in this mess. Rin was with her too and they would make it out of here — together.
Her eyes widened as Rin explained her situation back in her own dimension, her heart aching as she imagined how hard it must have been for her to live in such a state. “It’s horrible that you had to live life like that, but I’m so glad that you had Yugo by your side; he sounds really great.” She smiled before having her fingers intertwine with Rin’s. She looked down at their hands for a moment, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. She was so glad she had a friend like Rin there to keep her calm. Who knows how scarier it would have been if she were just by herself in this cruel room.
“You’re right, Rin.” She glazed up at her friend, a wave of determination in her eye as she squeezed her hand. “I don’t know where Yuto or Yugo are, but we’ll make it out of here. In fact… Why wait?” She grinned, slowly standing up and helping Rin in the process.
“Let’s get out of here right now.”
